THE POLYUREA

Polyureas are SYNTHETIC POLYMERS obtained from the reaction of two components, a diisocyanate with a diamine.

Processed ‘in situ’ with hot high pressure equipment, they form a continuous membrane in seconds, 100% solids (they do not contain solvents or CFCs), with excellent chemical and mechanical performance.

Their formulation and characteristics are defined depending on the area of application, although they all share the following properties:

  • Polyurea reacts, sets and dries fast; Coated surfaces can be ready for start-up or further treatment in just a few hours.
  • The reaction speed of its components allows application within a wide range of temperatures and humidity, and even vertical surfaces can be coated with any thickness of coating in one pass (seamless, three-dimensional waterproofing).
  • Polyurea has a high thermal resistance as well as good flexibility at low temperatures.
  • They have outstanding mechanical and chemical resistance and are stable to hydrolysis and insensitive to water.
  • They have excellent electrical insulating qualities.
  • Polyurea forms flexible, seamless, elastic layers that adhere to all types of properly prepared substrates.
  • Any thickness can be obtained in a single application.

COMMON APPLICATIONS

  • Continuous Flooring

for high traffic, which require high mechanical and chemical resistance as well as high durability, whether for industrial applications subject to heavy machinery traffic, or garages and car parks for private use. Our systems have a slipperiness classification Class 3 Rd > 45 (value 70) CTE – DDBB-SU.

  • Insulation

roofs, terraces or balconies, whether in new construction or renovations

  • Protection

of industrial equipment and structures exposed to corrosive elements, such as applications in wastewater treatment plants or mining, among others.

  • Protective Coating

    of pick-up trucks, vans…

  • Swimming Pools

    waterproofing and rehab

  • Flooring

clean rooms for hospitals, supermarkets, agro-food industry.
