ACE Coatings Polyurea membranes
Polyureas are synthetic polymers obtained from the reaction of two components, a diisocyanate with a diamine. Processed ‘in situ’ with hot high pressure equipment, they form a continuous membrane in seconds, 100% solids (they do not contain solvents or CFCs), with excellent chemical and mechanical performance.
Properties
- Polyurea forms flexible, seamless, elastic layers that adhere to all types of properly prepared substrates, achieving any thickness in a single application. -Polyurea reacts, sets and dries so fast that coated surfaces can be ready for commissioning or further treatment in just a few hours.
- The speed of reaction of its components allows it to be applied even on vertical surfaces or roofs, creating a three-dimensional waterproofing.
- Polyurea has a high thermal resistance, as well as good flexibility at low temperatures, and can be applied within a wide range of temperatures and ambient humidity.
- They have outstanding mechanical and chemical resistance, and are stable to hydrolysis and insensitive to water.
- They have excellent electrical insulating qualities.
